At localremove, we take your privacy seriously. In fact, our entire architecture is built around it. Unlike other tools that process images in the cloud, our technology runs entirely in your browser.
No-Upload Watermark Remover
localremove is a no-upload watermark remover: your images are processed locally on your device, not on our servers.
1. Data Processing
We do not upload your images to any server. All image processing (watermark removal, inpainting, object erasure) happens locally on your device using WebAssembly technology.
- Your images never leave your computer.
- We do not store, view, or analyze your content.
- Once you close the browser tab, all session data is cleared from memory.
2. Data Collection
Because we do not host a backend for image processing, we collect very limited data:
- Analytics: We use privacy-friendly analytics to understand general usage patterns (e.g., number of visitors, browser types) to improve compatibility.
- Credits & Payments: If you purchase credits, transaction data is processed securely by our payment provider (PayPal). We do not store your payment card information.
- Local Storage: We use your browser's local storage to save your credit balance and preferences (like dark/light mode).
3. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party services for essential infrastructure:
- PayPal: For secure payment processing.
- Vercel: For hosting the website frontend.
4. Cookies
We use essential cookies to maintain your session (e.g., your credit balance) and ensure the site functions correctly. We do not use cookies for cross-site tracking or advertising.
